FISHER AMERICAN BULLDOGS - OUR MISSION IS TO BREED THE BEST!
Overheating : It is very, very important to remember thatyour American bulldog can easily get too hot, have a heat stroke and possibly even die. This is due to playing too much/long or warm temperatures outside and their large bodies & smaller airways can't get enough oxygen to keep up with the fast pace and cool their body down. Always provide fresh water and ice when your bulldog shows sign of overheating (heavy panting, vomiting, etc.). Never leave your bulldog outside on a hot day or in a car unattended.

We highly recommend "Dr. Butchko" as your new American Bulldog puppy's vet.  He is a Bulldog specialist and very knowledgeable about the breed.  He can be reached at (951)686-2242.  His address is: 5488 Mission Blvd.  Roubidoux, CA  92509  (Roubidoux is in Riverside off the 60 East Freeway.)  The Nose:  American Bulldog noses tend to become dry and flaky. To treat or prevent this you should rub some Vaseline or Vitamin E oil directly on your dog’s nose.Ears:There are many antiseptic products to clean your dogs ear with, you can try them if you like with cotton balls and q-tips (careful not to go deep into the ear canal, this will hurt your dog and possibly damage his ear drum.) This should be done as needed, usually once a week.
Teeth:You will need to brush your bulldog’s teeth if you are feeding soft food. Otherwise, hard food, treats and toys should be enough to keep your dog’s teeth and gums healthy. If you notice swelling, bleeding or signs of pain while eating, notify your veterinarian.Skin care: Brush your bulldog everyday with a soft bristle brush. Brushing removes dead skin and debris that may cause irritation, and it also reduces shedding.
